Shares of power producers rose, but not by as much as the broad market, as traders rotated back into cyclical sectors from the defensive utilities group.

The SPDR Select Sector Utilities exchange-traded fund, which tracks the utilities industry group of the S&P 500, was up a modest 0.24% for the session, but is more or less flat since the opening of hostilities in Iran, avoiding the wild swings of the broad market.
