Construction company Veidekke has been commissioned by Equinor Energy to build a new water treatment facility at the Sture terminal in Øygarden, just outside Bergen. The construction contract is valued at approximately NOK 200 million, according to a press release.

The project has been developed through close collaboration between the parties and includes a concrete-built treatment plant with cast water tanks, technical installations, as well as earthworks and foundation work. Construction has already commenced, and the facility is scheduled for completion in autumn 2027.

The contract will be included in Veidekke's order intake for the fourth quarter of 2025.
