Vodafone Ireland marks 25th anniversary with new Dublin HQ and €360 million investment
2 minute read

Vodafone Ireland has marked 25 years in Ireland with the opening of a new headquarters in Dublin city centre and the announcement of a further €360 million investment in the country.

A new six storey, 63,000 sq ft headquarters at St Stephen's Green marks the next chapter in Vodafone's long term presence in Ireland. More than 850 employees will be based in the new office, with over 2,000 people working with Vodafone Ireland nationwide across its headquarters and retail stores.

Designed with sustainability in mind, the new HQ features a green roof, rainwater harvesting and on site solar technology, supporting Vodafone Ireland's ambition to reach net zero by 2028.

Fresh investment

The €360 million investment in the country will support businesses, regional development and emerging technologies, helping future proof Ireland's digital infrastructure for the years ahead.

It includes €200 million in Vodafone Ireland's mobile network, building on the €500 million, five year network investment programme announced in 2023, and €160 million in digital and IT systems by 2030. The investment will support faster, more reliable connectivity, deliver next generation customer platforms such as digital care assistant Tobi, and prepare the network for next generation technologies such as AI, IoT and smart city applications.

Vodafone Ireland CEO Sabrina Casalta said the move reflects both a milestone and a commitment to the future, as the company continues to invest in networks, digital innovation and customer experience to support Ireland's evolving digital economy, while Ireland's Tánaiste and Minister for Finance, Simon Harris T.D. said: "Vodafone's continued investment is a strong vote of confidence in Ireland and in our future as a digitally connected, open economy."

Since entering the Irish market in 2001, Vodafone has invested more than €20 billion in Ireland in today's terms. Today, Vodafone Ireland serves 2.4 million customers, is the fastest growing broadband provider and operates the number one mobile network in the country.
