Marcus Wallenberg, Chairman of SEB and Saab, has joined Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's international advisory council for economic reconstruction, according to reports from Dagens industri. The group brings together representatives from industry, finance, and international institutions.
Wallenberg described the appointment as "an easy decision," emphasizing that "Ukraine's reconstruction is not just a Ukrainian matter; it is a European matter."
The council focuses on issues related to Ukraine's economic renewal and investment, particularly within the energy and defense sectors. A report is expected in September.
Wallenberg further stated that the role is advisory in nature and is not linked to any commercial interests.
