Zebra Technologies Corporation announced that Melissa Luff Loizides has been named the company?s next Chief People Officer (CPO), effective January 1, 2026. The current CPO, Jeff Schmitz plans to step down on December 31, 2025 and lead the integration of the Elo acquisition through the second quarter of 2026, after which he will retire. This leadership transition reflects Zebra?s focus on strategic succession planning and commitment to the successful integration of Elo.

Luff Loizides joined Zebra in 2014 when the company acquired Motorola Solutions? Enterprise Business. Since that time, she has held various leadership roles within the People Team, most recently serving as Vice President of Global Talent.

In this role, her responsibilities included advancing Zebra?s strategic workforce planning efforts and fostering the company?s purpose and values. As CPO, Luff Loizides will lead a talented global People Team focused on Zebra?s key strategic initiatives to drive long-term business success. She earned a Master?s degree in Management and a Bachelor?s degree in History from St.

Joseph?s University New York. Luff Loizides shares Zebra?s commitment to community service and STEM, serving as a board member of FIRSTLong Island from 2020 through January 2025.

Zebra Technologies Corporation specialises in the design, manufacture and marketing of automatic identification and data capture technology systems. The products are mainly intended for the distribution, e-commerce, transportation, logistics and healthcare sectors. Net sales break down by category of products as follows: - visibility and mobility systems (66.9%): mobile terminals (ruggedized computers, tablets, mobile radio transceivers, RFID readers, point-of-sale systems, interactive kiosks, etc.); - product information and traceability systems (33.1%): barcode printers and scanners, card printers, RFID label printers and encoders, printing consumables (thermal transfer labels, receipt paper, ribbons, plastic cards, RFID tags, etc.) and location solutions. Net sales by source of income are divided between sales of products (80.6%) and sales of services and software (19.4%). At the end of 2024, the group operates 114 production sites worldwide. Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: the United States (49.9%), North America (1.2%), Germany (16%), Europe/Middle East/Africa (16.5%), Asia/Pacific (9.8%) and Latin America (6.6%).
