Natural gas futures fell to $5.43-per-million British thermal units as mild weather in the late fall was seen as reducing the chances of supply shortages in the U.S. this winter.

Australia's Senex Energy will recommend shareholders accept an improved offer from South Korean steelmaker Posco International of roughly $630 million.
