The Canadian dollar weakened against the greenback on Thursday, and the yield on benchmark government debt slipped.
The loonie was trading 0.2% lower at C$1.4394 to the greenback, or 69.47 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.4366 to 1.4403.
Canadian government 10-year bond yields fell 0.5 basis points to 3.32%. The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt fell to 4.6566%.
U.S. February crude futures rose 37 cents to $73.69 a barrel on Thursday.
