STORY: Mulberry explained how organic revenue growth, including fees from IPOs and M&A deals, differs from net interest income, which is "the difference that you pay your depositors compared to the interest you're earning on, say, your loan portfolio."
He said after the Federal Reserve's campaign of raising interest rates, net interest income "has been a negative on the balance sheets" of banks but that will eventually level out as the Fed continues to lower rates.
Mulberry added that the pickup in business activity "will be a tailwind for these companies as that activity continues to grow over the next couple of quarters."
