Jan 24 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index slumped in early trade on Monday, tracking losses in global equities on growing tensions between Russia and Ukraine and ahead of major central bank meetings this week.

At 9:30 a.m. ET (14:30 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index was down 332.77 points, or 1.61%, at a three-month low of 20,288.62.
