Export inspections of U.S. grain shipments have declined from the previous week, but are mostly higher than this time last year, according to data from the Agriculture Department.
In its latest weekly report, the USDA said that corn export inspections totaled 779,078 metric tons for the week ended Oct. 31, while soybeans totaled 2.16 million tons and wheat totaled 193,523 tons. All three are down from last week's figures, although all three are higher than this time last year.
The Philippines was the leading destination for U.S. wheat, at 54,999 tons. Mexico was the lead destination for corn at 521,067 tons, and China was the leading soybean destination at 723,154 tons.
CBOT grains are higher Monday, with most-active corn up 0.8%, soybeans up 0.3% and wheat up 0.8%.
