FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) - After two days of new highs, the Dax is initially expected to do little on Friday. Two and a half hours before the start of trading, the broker IG estimated that the leading German index would be up 0.1 percent at 20,668 points. The previous day, it had set the current record at 20,675 points. Over the course of the week, the Dax has gained around two percent.

On Wall Street, the recovery rally faltered the previous evening. The Nasdaq 100 fell again sharply after reacting very positively to the consumer prices and the resulting interest rate signals on Wednesday./ag/mis
