FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) - The Dax rose above the 21,000 mark for the first time on Monday. At its peak, it rose by around half a percent to 21,016 points. The trigger for the price gains was a report in the "Wall Street Journal" that the administration of the new US President Donald Trump does not yet intend to introduce new tariffs on imports on the day of his inauguration. Rather, he wants to instruct the authorities to evaluate trade relations with China and the continent's neighbors in America. The eurozone leading index EuroStoxx 50 rose 0.3 percent on Monday to another high since 2000./bek/mis
