(Alliance News) - On Tuesday, major European stock markets opened in positive territory, on a quiet day in macroeconomic terms but as political tensions in France and those in the Middle East increase.

Thus, the FTSE Mib opens up 0.8 percent to 33,732.89, the Mid-Cap is in the green 0.6 percent to 47,097.88, the Small-Cap rises 0.4 percent to 27,350.36, and Italy Growth is down 0.1 percent to 7,717.46.

In Europe, London's FTSE 100 is in the green by 0.4 percent, Paris' CAC 40 gains 0.3 percent, and Frankfurt's DAX 40 rises 1.6 percent.

In macroeconomic news, three Federal Reserve officials said Monday that the U.S. is on track to meet its long-term 2% inflation target, despite the recent hike, and one of them indicated tentative support for another rate cut this month.

On paper, the U.S. economy looks quite healthy today, with robust economic growth, an unemployment rate still relatively close to historic lows, and inflation at 2.3 percent in October, according to the Fed's preferred measure.

From China, the central bank announced that a new statistical measure of the M1 money supply will be implemented starting in January 2025.

This updated measure will include personal demand deposits and customer reserves of nonbank payment institutions, aligning with practices in other major economies.

Returning to Milan, on the highest-capitalization list of the Milan Stock Exchange, Amplifon does best of all and rises 2.0 percent. Banca Popolare di Sondrio also goes up, up 1.7 percent, while Moncler, up 1.7 percent, closes the podium.

FinecoBank - in the green by 1.0% - announced Monday that it has received from the Single Resolution Board and the Bank of Italy the updated decision on the determination of the minimum requirement of own funds and eligible liabilities that replaces the previous decision communicated to the public in December 2023.

Recordati raises 0.7 percent. The company announced Friday the completion of the acquisition of the global rights to Enjaymo from Sanofi, following regulatory approvals.

Enjaymo is a biologic drug and the only approved product targeted for the treatment of cold agglutinin disease, a rare B-cell lymphoproliferative disorder. It is a humanized monoclonal antibody indicated for the treatment of hemolysis in adults with CAD.

Among the bearish, on the bottom ends Terna, down 1.0%. It hurts Azimut, down 0.9%.

On the Mid-Cap, Salvatore Ferragamo -- in the green by 4.7% -- on Monday took note of the latest selling and confirmed its previously announced operating results forecast.

In light of the industry slowdown and new market estimates, simulations related to the impairment test for the 2024 financial statements were analyzed.

These simulations suggest possible write-downs of some assets, estimating a total impact between EUR70 and EUR90 million.

Maire Technimont gives up 0.1 percent. The company, through its subsidiary Nextchem, opened in Catania the "Nx engineering district," a high-tech engineering center located in the Science and Technology Park of Sicily.

On the Small-Cap, CY4Gate - down 0.2 percent - reported Friday that it has signed contracts worth a total of about EUR1.2 million with leading Italian corporate and institutional clients to acquire solutions in Cyber Security and Forensic Intelligence.

doValue is flat at EUR1.13 per share. Spark Investment Management cut the stock's short position to 0.76 percent from 0.90 percent.

Among the bullish performers are Softlab, Eems and Tessellis, up between 6.0% and 2.6%.

Among the SMEs, Promotica rises 6.5 percent. The company on Tuesday reported that it launched five loyalty campaigns in November for major national and international retail players such as Coop, Carrefour and the DESA group, with a total value of more than EUR24 million.

Maps - in the green by 1.1 percent - announced the supply of an integrated software and hardware system for the management of Legality Protocols, Job Order Documentation and Access and Presence Detection to the Arna consortium, made up of the companies Rizzani de Eccher, Manelli Impresa and Sacaim, as part of the works concerning road works in the Samarate Novara section and the environmental monitoring plan underway.

This new 3-year contract has a total value of EUR362,000 and follows the important success achieved with the Chrysas and Alvi consortia, consolidating Maps Group's position as a partner of choice.

Cyberoo is flat at EUR2.05 per share. The company announced Tuesday that it has signed its first contracts with new strategic partners in Spain. The partnerships include the resale of Cyberoo's Managed Detection & Response services and offer widespread coverage in three of Spain's main strategic areas-Madrid, Barcelona, and Bilbao.

Bellini Nautica-not yet affected by the exchanges-on Tuesday announced that it has entered into a partnership agreement with Fine & Country Real Estate Broker aimed at promoting Bellini Yacht branded boats in the Dubai market.

Mare Group rises 2.6 percent. The company Tuesday disclosed that it has begun work on a new framework agreement with a leading international client in the Aerospace & Defense sector for high-tech software development activities pertaining to the Digital Services line of business.

The agreement includes a commitment of up to EUR4.5 million with completion within 24 months.

In Asia, the Nikkei closed in the green by 1.9 percent, the Hang Seng gained with 1.0 percent, and the Shanghai Composite closed up 0.4 percent.

In New York, the Dow finished 0.3 percent in the red, the Nasdaq rose 1.0 percent and the S&P 500 gained 0.2 percent.

Among currencies, the euro changed hands at USD1.0514from USD1.0483 in Monday's European stock close. The pound is worth USD1.2687 versus USD1.2636 on Monday evening.

Among commodities, Brent crude is worth USD72.38 per barrel from USD71.81 at last night's close. Gold trades at USD2,662.69 an ounce from USD2,663.49 an ounce on Monday evening.

Tuesday afternoon's macroeconomic calendar, from the US, at 1600 CET is the turn of the JOLTS report; at 1835 CET, the Fed's Kugler speech is expected; and at 2145 CET, Goolsbee's is expected.

Also from the US, we close at 2230 CET with the oil stocks data.

Among the companies listed in Piazza Affari, no particular announcements are expected.
