"Time has run out for all the remaining hostages living and deceased. This evening the security cabinet will convene to discuss this deal. We call upon Prime Minister (Benjamin) Netanyahu - you promised us that you would bring all the hostages back. Now is the time to do so. Accept the outlined deal this evening."

"We would like to address U.S. President Donald Trump. Mr. President, sir, the forces of evil within Israel, those who seek eternal war, will try everything they can to prolong this war. Please, Mr. President, do not let them do so. The people of Israel want this war to end. We want peace in the Middle East. Only you can bring life back to the region filled with death."

Hamas said it was prepared to enter into talks on implementing the deal, which envisages the release of hostages and negotiations on ending the conflict.

U.S. President Donald Trump had announced a "final proposal" for a 60-day ceasefire in the nearly 21-month-old war between Israel and Hamas, saying he anticipated a reply from the parties in the coming hours.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet his security cabinet tonight to discuss the deal.
