Tell us about yourself?

I joined 1Spatial in January 2021 and my onboarding and working experience has been completely virtual due to the lockdown. I really look forward to the day when I can meet all of my colleagues and see the office in person - hopefully this will be someday soon.

I work as a Senior FME Sales Executive in the FME Division.  I am completely new to the data sector but am experienced in sales and account management in SAAS, training and recruitment sectors.  I am responsible for all FME maintenance renewals for our clients and am also involved in new business and training enquiries.  At home, I enjoy keeping fit, theatre and travel.

Fun fact about you?

I once worked as an Entertainer on a holiday camp, performing in shows and pantomimes and was also the resident magician's assistant. Ta-da!

What have you enjoyed about working in the FME Division so far?

The team are fantastic and since Day one, I have felt welcome. Having joined in a virtual world, this could have felt a little 'different to the norm' but I felt part of the team immediately and it feels like I have worked with them for a long time.

The team are extremely knowledgeable and experienced so I know I can reach out to them, anytime, for help with any FME questions.  My role is very busy, and I am enjoying getting to know our clients and building these key relationships.  I am also enjoying learning our team processes and seeing how I can add extra value.

What do you enjoy most about working at 1Spatial?

Everyone at the company has been very welcoming and friendly and I am looking forward to meeting you all when we can return to the Cambridge office.  I am really enjoying my role and learning something new.

What makes 1Spatial a great place to work?

Again, everyone has been very welcoming and helpful. No question is too small, and this has been appreciated. I feel very much 'at home' here. I also feel there are plenty of opportunities to grow in the business which is very encouraging and reassuring to see.  My ideas and point of view are embraced which is very refreshing in a business.

If you were given an airline ticket to go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

I have been very lucky to have travelled world-wide but I have yet to see more of Italy so that would be on my list.  Anywhere hot is on the list too!
