ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) _ 3D Systems Corp. (DDD) on Monday reported third-quarter net income of $292.7 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

The Rock Hill, South Carolina-based company said it had net income of $2.34 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 8 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 5 cents per share.

The maker of 3D printers posted revenue of $156.1 million in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $146.3 million.
