3M : Gogia Plastics settles design infringement suit in recognition of 3M’s proprietary rights in India

ST. PAUL, Minn., August 10, 2022 --

3M India Ltd. and 3M Innovative Properties Co. (collectively 3M) filed a design infringement lawsuit in the City Civil Court, Bengaluru, India, against Gogia Plastics located at 8/8 D.B. Gupta Road, Ground Floor, (Adjoining Dominos) Pahar Ganj, New Delhi - 110055, alleging that Gogia Plastics' flexible median markers infringed 3M's design rights for flexible median markers. On April 16, 2021, the Court granted an ex-parte ad interim order in 3M's favor and against Gogia Plastics. The matter was eventually settled between the parties after Gogia Plastics recognized 3M's exclusive proprietary rights of its registered designs in its flexible median markers and undertook that they will not deal in flexible median markers which are similar to 3M's design rights for flexible median markers in violation of 3M's proprietary rights on flexible median markers.
