CAMPBELL, Calif. (AP) _ 8x8 Inc. (EGHT) on Tuesday reported a loss of $42.3 million in its fiscal second quarter.

The Campbell, California-based company said it had a loss of 38 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 1 cent per share.

The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 1 cent per share.

The telecommunications services company posted revenue of $151.6 million in the period, which beat Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $149.5 million.

For the current quarter ending in January, 8x8 said it expects revenue in the range of $152.7 million to $154.2 million.

The company expects full-year revenue in the range of $611 million to $615 million.
