Orders for heavy-duty trucks (class-8) in North America provisionally stood at 25,800 units in January. This is a decrease of 5% year-on-year and 30% lower than 36,500 units the month before. This is according to recent statistics from ACT Research.
"Although January order intake took a step down from the recent trend, strength continues to be the applicable description of Class 8 order activity," said Kenny Vietch of ACT.
Volvo and Traton, among others, sell heavy trucks in the North American market.
