ABB is to deliver the world's largest mining hoist for global mining company BHP's Jansen potash project in Canada.

Installation of the first two hoists is currently underway, while the other two hoist systems are being prepared for installation and commissioning between 2026 and 2027.

This is a landmark project for the mining industry, as one of the two production hoists will have the largest production capacity in the world, capable of transporting payloads of 75 tonnes.
