Abbey Plc reported sales results for the year ended April 30, 2019. For the period the company has completed 579 house sales (UK 511, Ireland 36, Czechia 32). The comparative figures for the previous year were 606 house sales (UK 524, Ireland 75, Czechia 7). Group turnover for the year was ahead of last year however, lower margins mean operating profit will be lower than last year. This trend of falling margins seems set to continue in the current year.
