Aberdeen New Dawn Investment Trust plc (LSE:ABD) commences share repurchases on September 1, 2021, under the program mandated by the shareholders in the Annual General Meeting on September 1, 2021. As per the mandate, the company will repurchase up to 16,312,769 shares, representing 14.99% of its issued share capital. The minimum price which may be paid per ordinary share will be 5p. The maximum price which may be paid for any ordinary share will be the higher of 5% above the average of the middle market quotations for an ordinary share for the five business days immediately before the day on which the purchase is made and the higher of the price of the last independent trade and the highest current independent bid on the trading venue where the purchase is carried out, in each case exclusive of expenses. Unless previously renewed, varied or revoked by the company in a General Meeting, the share repurchase program will expire at the conclusion of the next Annual General Meeting in 2020. As of April 30, 2021, the company had 108,929,348 shares in issue and 8,169,701 shares in treasury.
