Solar energy company Absolicon's technology is currently being evaluated by two large brewing giants that have used its solar thermal technology. The concentrated solar heat is intended to replace fossil fuels.

The two companies are Olympic Brewery, part of the Carlsberg Group, and Birra Peroni, part of Asahi.

"During a one-year pilot period, the solar thermal installation would provide first-hand experience of how Absolicon's concentrated solar thermal replaces the dependence on fossil fuels in the breweries' facilities. The period has now ended and the respective companies are in an evaluation process based on the results and experiences gathered during the year," the company writes in a market update.

Coca-Cola in India has started installing solar panels by the end of this year.

"The installation will be delivered by Absolicon's partner Climatenza, which is negotiating with Absolicon for the purchase of a robotized production line for the production of solar collectors in India. The solar collectors were delivered in December 2023 and the installation has started during the end of 2024", the company writes.
