Accenture PLC said its profit rose for the fiscal fourth quarter as consulting and outsourcing revenue rose.

The professional-services company on Thursday posted net income attributable to the company of $1.42 billion, compared with $1.29 billion in the year-ago period. Earnings were $2.20 a share, compared with $1.99 a share in the prior year.

Revenue for the quarter ended Aug. 31 rose to $13.42 billion from $10.84 billion. Analysts polled by FactSet were expecting $13.43 billion.

New bookings for the quarter were $15 billion, up 7% in U.S. dollars. Consulting new bookings were 53% of total new bookings, with the rest comprising outsourcing new bookings.
