Accenture PLC on Monday said it named Bhaskar Ghosh chief strategy officer, effective immediately.

The Dublin-based professional-services company said Mr. Ghosh, who will have responsibility for its strategy and investments, including ventures and acquisitions, succeeds Simon Eaves, who will become managing director of Accenture in the U.K. and Ireland on Jan. 1.

Mr. Ghosh most recently served as an adviser to Accenture Chief Executive Julie Sweet on areas including growth and investment strategy, business performance, organizational effectiveness and restructuring.

Accenture said Olly Benzecry, who has served as managing director and chairman of its U.K. and Ireland operations since 2011, will remain chairman until he retires at the end of August 2021.
