Accenture said Tuesday it has agreed to acquire Insight Sourcing, a sourcing and procurement-services provider.

Professional-services company Accenture didn't disclose the terms of the deal, saying only that the completion of the deal is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approval.

Accenture said the acquisition would broaden its sourcing and procurement capabilities for private equity firms and companies in the consumer goods, retail, technology and industrial industries.

The Atlanta-based Insight Sourcing would add about 220 sourcing consultants to Accenture's sourcing and procurement practice within the company's supply-chain and operations division.

The acquisition would encompass Insight Energy, the company's energy-procurement and management business.
