Adapteo has been chosen to provide flexible buildings for the 30,000 square metre village FLC Village in Rødbyhavn in Denmark, which is being built to provide thousands of people working with the project with housing, amenities, and recreational spaces. For this purpose, Adapteo has designed totally new buildings and the first ones will be ready for occupation on July 21st. The EU has named 2021 the "Year of Rail" to highlight the most sustainable, innovative, and safe transportation that have - the train. Therefore, it is fitting that this is also the year of breaking ground in one of Europe's infrastructure projects, the immersed tunnel Fehmarn Belt Fixed Link between Rødbyhavn, Denmark and Puttgarden, Germany. The 18-kilometre road-rail tunnel is expected to have great impact on the Swedish industry, as it will enable travel from the Øresund Region to Hamburg in less time than to Stockholm. The construction of the tunnel also creates new job opportunities in Denmark. To provide the workers with housing, amenities, and recreational spaces, FLC Village in Rødbyhavnis currently under construction. FLC Tunnel Group North I/S, the consortium appointed by the Owner Femern A/S which is responsible for the construction of the Fehmarn Belt tunnel, has assigned Adapteo with the task of delivering and managing the village with flexible buildings. The 30,000 square meter village FLC Village will offer everything from housing, gyms, mini markets, a hair salon and social meeting places with leisure activities, to changing rooms and a canteen. Örjan Berg at Adapteo is responsible for the brand-new design of the buildings, specifically developed for this purpose. Currently, he is on-site in Denmark supporting the project.
