(NASDAQ: ADVS), a leading provider of software and services for the global investment management industry, today announced that CFO Jim Cox was named CFO of the Year in the Public Company - Small to Medium category at the Tenth Annual Bay Area CFO of the Year Awards. These annual awards are presented by the San Francisco Business Times and Larkin Street Youth Services, the leading nonprofit in San Francisco empowering homeless and at-risk youth to get off the street by offering an innovative and award-winning model of housing, education, employment, and health services.

In his role as CFO, Mr. Cox oversees all of Advent's accounting and financial reporting, investor relations, financial planning and analysis, treasury, and tax operations. He joined Advent in 2006 and served as Corporate Controller and Principal Accounting Officer before assuming the CFO role in 2009. During Mr. Cox's time as CFO, Advent has achieved steady top and bottom line growth and made a number of acquisitions to bolster the company's position in the marketplace.
