International stocks trading in New York closed mostly higher Thursday.
The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts rose 4.6% to 133.17. The European index climbed 4.5% to 130.66. The Asian index advanced 6.1% to 148.85. The Latin American index shed 2.8% to 180.24, while the emerging-markets index gained 4.4% to 252.65.
Aegon NV was among those whose ADRs traded actively.
The Dutch insurance, pensions and asset-management company ticked up 1.7% after it reported a net loss for the third quarter that widened less than expected.
Akari Therapeutics Plc gained 5.9% after the clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company said the Food and Drug Administration granted the rare pediatric disease designation to nomacopan for the treatment of pediatric hematopoietic stem cell transplant-related thrombotic microangiopathy.
