MADRID (Reuters) - Spanish airport operator Aena said on Wednesday it expects the passenger traffic at its terminals will surpass pre-pandemic levels by 2024 and will end 2022 with at least 87% of the 2019 passenger number.
The company expects its earnings before taxes will fully recover from the pandemic between 2024 and 2025, when all commercial revenues will also recover.
Its overall traffic forecast for 2022 is higher than the previous forecast of 85% of 2019 levels.
Aena expects to service 300 million passengers a year by 2026, more than before the pandemic.
