AEROFLOT Moscow, 01 September 2022 - PJSC Aeroflot (Moscow Exchange ticker: AFLT) publishes the Aeroflot Group Sustainable Development Policy (the Policy), approved by the PJSC Aeroflot's Board of Directors.
Aeroflot Group during its entire history has been supporting sustainable development principles by contributing to the country's economy, enhancing air connectivity across Russian regions, improving population mobility and promoting its operational performance. The Policy systematises the Aeroflot Group's sustainability activities identifying key ESG (ecological, social and governance) values, principles and approaches to integration of sustainable development aspects into the Aeroflot Group's management system and to maintaining stakeholder confidence in Aeroflot Group as a transparent and socially responsible group of companies.
The Aeroflot Group's sustainability activities are based on the following principles of social responsibility: accountability, transparency,ethical behavior, and respect for stakeholder interests, for the rule of law and for human rights.
The Aeroflot Group's main sustainable development goal is to establish air connectivity of the Russian regions and cities, population mobility and affordability of air travel while ensuring environmentally friendly operations. To achieve the goal the Policy defines 7 key sustainable development efforts of Aeroflot Group:safety and quality of services,information security,reducing environmental impact,responsible personnel management,human rights activities, social programs, counteraction and prevention of violations in financial and business operations .
Aeroflot Group contributes to the achievement of all 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, prioritizing 5 goals: industry, innovation and infrastructure; responsible consumption and production; gender equality; decent work and economic growth; climate action.
The Policy is based on generally accepted rules and international standards of business operations and follows up the Aeroflot Group's sustainable activities.
