Aeroflot Group Publishes its First ESG Report 17 June 2022

Moscow, 17 June 2022 - PJSC Aeroflot (Moscow Exchange ticker: AFLT) publishes its first ESG Report. Throughout its entire history, Aeroflot Group has been actively involved in the development of the country's economy, enhancing air connectivity across Russian regions, and improving population mobility, promoting its operational performance, and prioritising the well-being of its employees. Previously, the Group disclosed ESG data as part of its annual reports. This year, Aeroflot Group announces its first ESG Report prepared in accordance with the core principles of the Global Reporting Initiative Sustainability Reporting Standards ( GRI Standards). ESG Report provides information about sustainability management within the Group and shows the effect from the Group's activities on environment, economy and society.

Safety in every process and division is the top and absolute priority of Aeroflot Group that is why the Group strives to continuously improve its flight safety, aviation security, passenger data protection, information security, and safe working conditions. During the COVID-19 pandemic Aeroflot Group carried vaccines, significantly modified its passenger service procedures to ensure safety during flights, and took proactive steps to encourage passengers and its employees to get vaccinated.

Aeroflot Group makes an important contribution to the national social and economic development by linking 68 Russian cities. To improve connectivity of remote Russian regions and enhance population mobility Aeroflot Group operates the Flat Fare programme. In 2014, the Group launched the first Russian low-cost carrier Pobeda, which became one of the fastest growing low-cost carrier throughout the aviation history. The Group's performance promotes economic and business growth due to its supply chain and passengers' flights.

Aeroflot Group pays great attention to reducing its negative impact on the environment. From 2009 to 2019, Aeroflot Group managed to reduce specific CO2 emissions by 34.0% due to usage of highly efficient aircraft, implementation of energy saving, fuel and environmental performance programmes. In 2021, Pobeda Airlines became one of the greenest airlines of Europe in terms of CO2 emissions - 61.1 g/RPK.

Aeroflot Group significantly contributes to the development of modern high-tech aircraft engineering in Russia, being the main operator of modern Russian-made aircraft. As at end-2021, the Group had 76 Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft in its fleet. Aeroflot Group also plans to purchase MC-21 aircraft.

As a socially responsible company, Aeroflot Group acknowledges the importance of charity and does its best to help people in need. Among charitable initiatives of the Group - support for orphanages, educational programmes, the Mercy Miles project allowing the Aeroflot Bonus programme participants to contribute part of their bonus miles to charitable foundation.
