PRESS RELEASE

AEROPORTO GUGLIELMO MARCONI DI BOLOGNA S.p.A .: ENAC (NCCA) definitively approves the 2030 Masterplan.

Bologna, February 9, 2021 - The National Civil Aviation Authority announced today the final approval, pursuant to and for the purposes of Article 1 point 6 of the Legislative Decree 251 of 28 June 1995, coordinated with the conversion law 351 of 3 August 1995, and the declaration of public utility of the Bologna Airport Development Plan, that includes the program of interventions aimed to upgrade the infrastructure until 2030. Thanks to this provision, AdB is also authorized by ENAC to implement all the activities envisaged in the Masterplan, including the acquisition of new areas in order to expand the airport grounds.

The aforementioned approval act of the National Civil Aviation Authority completes positively, with full satisfaction of AdB, the long process of strategic review, environmental compatibility verification and, subsequently, positive assessment of the urban planning compliance - already communicated in date 24 January 2020, as an essential administrative step of the process - started by AdB in 2017.

The always positive and fruitful dialogue between AdB and ENAC is therefore further strengthened and the approved Masterplan represents a solid basis for a shared process with the Authority in order to obtain an overall sustainability and consistency of the airport investments, taking into account the expected traffic levels and the impacts of the current pandemic emergency.

The Group's sustainability strategy is focused in the short term to preserving corporate assets, in particular by maintaining employment levels and cash flow, thus ensuring the conditions for growth in the medium term. The investments on the capacity of the aeronautical airport infrastructures will be supported by the charge regulation mechanism in place in the Italian airport sector and will be implemented through the intermediate planning phases that, with focus on sustainability, will be re-evaluated in close contact with ENAC.

The phasing-in of the 2030 Masterplan will take place with financial resources that are partly already available - its own and through credit lines already active and disclosed - and with additional financial resources that the Group intends to find in the coming years.
