(Alliance News) - Aeroporto Guglielmo Marconi di Bologna Spa announced Thursday the consolidation of its partnership with Ryanair.

The partnership, which began in 2008 and then strengthened in 2016, is now confirmed with a 6-year agreement.

"Aeroporto di Bologna and Ryanair confirm full agreement, within their respective development objectives, in order to ensure the maintenance of an articulated and varied network of connections within the areas served by the carrier and to ensure a network development in line with the capacity and in coherence with the infrastructure development projects of the Marconi," the company explained in a note.

The agreement pursues overall long-term sustainability goals and includes an incentive scheme linked to the airport's traffic development policy.

Aeroporto Marconi trades in the green by 2.0 percent at EUR8.06 per share.
