AF Gruppen has, in a joint venture with Italian company Ghella, signed the
contract for building the new water distribution tunnels with the City of Oslo. 

The City of Oslo is building new drinking water supply and distribution network.
The joint venture consisting of AF Gruppen and Ghella has signed the contract to
build the water distribution network between Huseby, Oset and Stubberud in Oslo.
The joint venture is fully integrated.

The water distribution will be built in tunnels with several connection points
that will connect existing water mains along the route. Approximately 11 km of
tunnel will be drilled by Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) and 7 km excavated by
drill and blast. In addition, JV AF Ghella shall build clean water basins and a
pump station.
  
Works are scheduled to commence in April 2022 and will be completed in November
2027. 

The contract has an approximate value of NOK 8,750 million excl. VAT for the JV
and is the biggest contract in AF's history. AF Gruppen's share of the JV is 60
%.
