Affin Bank : MdI And Berry Pay Launches The First E-linsolvensi Mobile Application

AFFIN BANK, MdI AND BERRY PAY LAUNCHES THE FIRST E-LINSOLVENSI

MOBILE APPLICATION

KUALA LUMPUR: Affin Bank Berhad ("AFFIN BANK" or "the Bank") and Affin Islamic Bank Berhad ("AFFIN ISLAMIC") has entered into a tripartite collaboration with the Malaysian Department of Insolvency (MdI) and Berry Pay (M) Sdn. Bhd. (BerryPay) to launch the e- linsolvensi mobile application (mobile app).

The mobile app complements the existing web portal of the e-linsolvensi that offers online insolvency services and payment facilities to the public and MdI's stakeholders. The services and facilities are now accessible via the app, providing a personalised mobile experience to the public and stakeholders to perform their tasks more securely and conveniently. The app enables the public and stakeholders to conduct insolvency searches of individual bankrupts and companies and make payments for petitioning deposits, and monthly instalments or contributions anytime and anywhere. MdI has been providing e-payment services to the public and its stakeholders via Internet-bank GIRO (IBG) transfer, Financial Process Exchange (FPX) payment, JomPay and Card terminal. The mobile app will enhance public experience and is part of developing online digital options for greater access to MdI's services and facilities.

The official launch of the e-linsolvensi mobile app took place recently at the AFFIN BANK's new headquarters, Menara AFFIN @ TRX in Tun Razak Exchange (TRX). The launching ceremony was officiated by Director General of Insolvency, YBhg.Dato' Anita Harun, President

BerryPay Malaysia, as one of the partners in this collaboration, is responsible to develop the e-linsolvensi mobile application. BerryPay Malaysia is a financial technology (fintech) company that offers digital financial solutions and mobile application development services.

They specialise in digital collection and payment solution, including e-government payment solutions.

President & Group Chief Executive Officer, Affin Bank Berhad Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah said, "We are honoured to be entrusted by MdI to be the "acquiring bank" for this new venture and this collaboration is one of the many Bank's efforts and commitment in supporting the aspiration of the Malaysian government's national initiative - MyDIGITAL and Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint 2021-2025 as well as MdI Digitization Plan Success 2021-2025.

The new e-linsolvensi app is publicly available on App Store, Google Playstore, Huawei App Gallery and GAMMA app "Galeri Aplikasi Mudah Alih Kerajaan Malaysia" starting on 21 October 2022.
