SAN FRANCISCO (AP) _ Affirm Holdings Inc. (AFRM) on Thursday reported a loss of $54.7 million in its fiscal third quarter.

On a per-share basis, the San Francisco-based company said it had a loss of 19 cents.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 45 cents per share.

The operator of digital commerce platform posted revenue of $354.8 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $337.2 million.

For the current quarter ending in June, Affirm Holdings said it expects revenue in the range of $345 million to $355 million.

The company expects full-year revenue in the range of $1.33 billion to $1.34 billion.

Affirm Holdings shares have dropped 82% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $18.04, a drop of 64% in the last 12 months.
