AFRY : Management Consulting appoints Vignesh Gulasingam new Head of Energy for North America

AFRY Management Consulting is delighted to announce that Vignesh Gulasingam has joined the firm as Director and Head of Energy for North America

Vignesh has worked in the North American energy sector for 25 years with a breadth of experience spanning leadership roles in consulting firms, IPPs, regulated and unregulated utilities. He has extensive experience supporting IOUs, IPPs, financial and energy trading and marketing firms in the areas of corporate/business unit strategy, transaction advisory, commercial analytics including PPA/hedging, regional power and gas market analysis, asset valuation, greenfield and brownfield project development, energy and asset management, commercial contract negotiations and energy transition. His most recent role was as VP & Head of Americas Power and Renewables Consulting (aka Energy Transition Consulting) at Wood Mackenzie Inc., where he was instrumental in building the consulting services within the Energy Transition Practice focused on new energies and decarbonisation/ESG initiatives.

Vignesh holds master's degrees in business administration and electrical engineering from Rice University's Jesse H Jones Graduate School of Business and the University of Oklahoma, respectively, and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the National Institute Technology, Warangal, India.

Vignesh will help accelerate our expansion into the US, Canada and Mexico bringing a wealth of knowledge to our existing clients in our core areas of strategy, transaction advisory, market analysis and regulation, and operational and digital transformation as well as new opportunities for developing and delivering energy transition strategies and solutions as we move towards building a reliable and resilient carbon-free, clean energy grid that creates value for all the stakeholders in the energy value chain.
