AFRY AB AFRY has disclosed its impact according to CDP's framework since 2011 and this year AFRY reached score A- representing Leadership score in CDP's scoring methodology.
CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project) is a not-for-profit charity that runs the global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts.
The Leadership score means that based on CDP's scoring methodologies, AFRY have shown environmental leadership and have disclosed action on climate change. Furthermore, to receive the leadership ranking AFRY has illustrated both best practice and strategy when it comes to reducing the climate impact.
The aim of the ranking is to incentivize companies to measure and manage environmental impacts through participation in CDP's questionnaires.
"We are proud to have reached the Leadership level of the CDP scoring, this is testament of our climate leadership and that our targets, measurements and actions are in line the 1.5-degree ambition", said Sara Lindstrand, Sustainability Director at AFRY.
Some of the concrete measures that AFRY has taken are to ensure that the 1.5°C ambition is integrated in the decision making and strategy, to set climate targets in line with science as well as having them validated and approved by the Science Based Targets initiative and the launch of the AFRY 1.5°C Roadmap.
AFRY will continue to measure and drive the transition towards a sustainable society, both within its own operations and through the client assignments.
