£ It appears there could be trouble on the way for outfits like Klarna and Afterpay, which provide interest-free or "pay later" payment models for online and high street retailers. Nothing wrong with that, you might think, but that might not stop government and regulators from interfering in an industry that allows people who aren't necessarily on top of their finances to get into even more trouble. The calls for the FCA to get involved will no doubt get louder in the months to come; the lenders should think about how they plan to respond.
