AGC Inc is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the manufacturing and sales of glasses. The Company operates through five segments. The Architectural Glass segment manufactures and sells products such as float plate glass, molded glass, and screened and polished plate glass. The Automotive segment provides automotive glass, cover glass for automotive displays, and other products. The Electronics segment manufactures and sells products such as glass substrates for liquid crystal displays, glass substrates for organic electroluminescence (EL), and peripheral materials for displays. The Chemicals segment manufactures and sells products such as vinyl chloride, raw materials for vinyl chloride, and caustic soda. The Life Science segment provides synthetic pharmaceutical and agrochemical intermediates, bulk pharmaceuticals, and biopharmaceuticals. The Ceramics & Others business handles ceramics products, logistics and financial services.
