The next community consultative meeting for the Silverton Wind Farm will be held on Tuesday, 19 September 2017 between 3-5pm at the Silverton Municipal Chambers.

AGL encourages those interested to come along and hear firsthand how their local contractors and suppliers are helping to shape the wind farm.

Construction of the Silverton Wind Farm is progressing to plan. The number of construction personnel has also grown to approximately 80 during August as the structural works commenced.

AGL's Silverton Wind Farm Project Manager, Adam Mackett, acknowledged the efforts of the EPC contractor, GE- CATCON and their local subcontractor, Mawsons Concrete & Quarries on the successful first concrete pour which has been delivered on time.

The 200MW Silverton Wind Farm is the first greenfield development for the Powering Australian Renewables Fund (PARF) and will be the largest in NSW when complete in mid-2018 and will provide approximately 780,000 MWh of renewable energy annually, which equates to the power supply of approximately 137,000 average Australian homes.
