Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd. said Monday it has appointed Jamie Porter as its new chief financial officer, who is leaving Alamos Gold Inc. to join the company.

The Canadian gold producer said that Mr. Porter replaces David Smith, who has decided to retire, effective April 28.

Mr. Porter will join Agnico Eagle, effective May 1, in the position of executive vice president of finance and CFO.

Altogether, he has over 20 years of experience in the mining industry, most recently at Alamos Gold, where he has served the company since 2005, and as CFO since 2011.

Alamos Gold, an intermediate Canadian gold producer, said Monday that it has appointed Greg Fisher to replace Mr. Porter.

Mr. Fisher has more than 20 years of experience in the sector, including 13 years at company. In 2011, he was appointed vice president of finance, and then senior vice president of finance in 2021.
