ELECTION OF SUPERVISORS REPRESENTING EMPLOYEES

On 26 July 2021, Mr. SHAO Lihong and Mr. HUANG Tao were elected as Supervisors Representing Employees at the employee representatives' meeting of the Agricultural Bank of China Limited (the "Bank"). Please refer to the appendix to this announcement for the biographical details of Mr. SHAO Lihong and Mr. HUANG Tao.

The board of supervisors of the Bank (the "Board of Supervisors") hereby confirmed that Mr. SHAO Lihong was re-appointed as a Supervisor Representing Employees and Mr. HUANG Tao was appointed as a Supervisor Representing Employees, both with a term of office of three years since 26 July 2021.

As at the date of this announcement, Mr. SHAO Lihong and Mr. HUANG Tao do not hold any shares of the Bank. Each of Mr. SHAO Lihong and Mr. HUANG Tao will receive his supervisor's fee as a Supervisor Representing Employees from the Bank during his term according to relevant regulations, and the relevant remuneration plan will be submitted to the shareholders' general meeting for consideration and approval after being approved in accordance with the relevant procedures. The Bank will disclose the remuneration of the supervisors in the annual report each year and the relevant announcements.

Save as disclosed in this announcement Mr. SHAO Lihong and Mr. HUANG Tao do not hold any directorship in any other listed companies or takes up any post in any affiliated companies of the Bank in the past three years, nor do they have any relationship with any other director, supervisor, senior management, substantial shareholder or controlling shareholder of the Bank. Further, Mr. SHAO Lihong and Mr. HUANG Tao do not have any equity interest in the Bank within the meaning of Part XV of the Securities and Futures Ordinance of Hong Kong.

Save as disclosed above, there is no other information relating to the re-appointment of Mr. SHAO Lihong and the appointment of Mr. HUANG Tao that shall be disclosed pursuant to Rule 13.51(2) of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited nor any matters which need to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of the Bank.

APPENDIX

BIOGRAPHICAL DETAILS OF MR. SHAO LIHONG

Mr. SHAO Lihong, born in September 1972, holds a master's degree in economics from Hunan Colleague of Finance and Economics and is a senior economist. He has served as a Supervisor Representing Employees of the Bank since August 2018. He previously served successively in several positions in the Bank, including the deputy director level secretary of the Secretariat of the Office, the deputy director of the Real Estate Development Division and the General Business Division of the Real Estate Credit Department, the director of the Retail Housing Business Division of the Real Estate Credit Department, the director of the Housing Credit Division of the Individual Business Department, the director of the Housing Credit Division of the Housing Finance and Retail Credit Department, the deputy general manager of the Housing Finance and Retail Credit Department, the deputy general manager of the Retail Banking Department. He served as the director of the Trade Union Affairs Department/United Front Work Department of the Bank in April 2018.

BIOGRAPHICAL DETAILS OF MR. HUANG TAO

Mr. HUANG Tao, born in October 1966, holds a master's degree in arts from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and is a senior economist. He has served as a Supervisor Representing Employees of the Bank since July 2021. He previously served as the deputy director of the Editorial Division III of the Air Force Newspaper Office (regiment commander level), the first secretary (director level), the consultant, concurrently the consultant and the deputy director of the General Office of the Secretary Bureau I of General Office of the State Council, the director of Division III and the deputy inspector and concurrently the director of Division III of the Supervision Office of General Office of the State Council, a member of the Municipal Standing Committee and the deputy mayor (temporary) of Guilin, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the deputy inspector and the inspector of the Supervision Office of the General Office of the State Council. He served as the general manager of the Office/Complaint Office of the Bank in November 2015 and served as the general manager of the Office of the Bank since June 2021.
