For the quarter, the company reported revenues were MYR 237,479,000 against MYR 264,050,000 a year ago. Profit from operations was MYR 33,638,000 against MYR 19,701,000 a year ago. Profit before taxation was MYR 21,717,000 against MYR 8,493,000 a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of the company was MYR 15,839,000 or 3.04 sen basic per share against MYR 6,210,000 or 1.28 sen basic per share a year ago. The higher profits in second quarter stemmed from a favourable project mix for the construction division, contribution from the assets facilities management, higher profit from oil and gas division and narrower losses in the plantation operations. For the six-month period, the company reported revenues were MYR 487,665,000 against MYR 573,421,000 a year ago. Profit from operations was MYR 57,667,000 against MYR 38,895,000 a year ago. Profit before taxation was MYR 28,496,000 against MYR 14,601,000 a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of the company was MYR 21,954,000 or 4.37 sen basic per share against MYR 10,407,000 or 2.15 sen basic per share a year ago. Net cash used in operating activities was MYR 217,587,000 against MYR 177,527,000 a year ago. Purchase of property, plant and equipment was MYR 11,852,000 against MYR 18,137,000 a year ago.
