Grocer Stop & Shop and third-party delivery company Instacart are joining forces on a 30-minute delivery service for the Northeast of the U.S.

The service, called Stop & Shop Express, offers delivery within a half hour, and Stop & Shop is the first grocery retailer in the Northeast to offer it via Instacart, according to a press release. It's available to shoppers across Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York and New Jersey.

Stop & Shop Express customers will receive $20 off a $30 order starting Oct. 19 with the code Save20on30VC. The service is available seven days a week during store hours. It requires a $10 minimum order and costs $2.99.

"With Stop & Shop Express, not only will we continue to be there for our customers with our great selection of grocery items, but we can be there for them in as fast as 30 minutes," Gordon Reid, president of Stop & Shop, said in the release. "Our customers' lives are busier than ever, and this service will help make things easier for them."
