ANNOUNCEMENT ON KEY OPERATING DATA OF JANUARY 2021
The enclosed announcement (the "SSE Announcement") was published by Air China Limited (the "Air China") on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on 19 February 2021, which contains combined operating data for January 2021 for Air China and its subsidiaries (collectively, the "Group"). This announcement enclosing the SSE Announcement is made by Air China pursuant to Rules 13.09 and 13.10B of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the "Listing Rules") and the Inside Information Provisions (as defined in the Listing Rules) under Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

ANNOUNCEMENT ON KEY OPERATING DATA OF JANUARY 2021
In January 2021, Air China Limited (the "Company"), and its subsidiaries (the "Group") recorded a month-on-month decrease of 27.8% in passenger capacity (measured by available seat kilometers (the "ASK")) and recorded a month-on-month decrease of 35.5% in passenger traffic (measured by revenue passenger kilometers (the "RPK")). For domestic routes, passenger capacity decreased by 28.6% and passenger traffic decreased by 35.9%, as compared to last month. For international routes, passenger capacity decreased by 7.4% and passenger traffic decreased by 16.7%, as compared to last month. Passenger capacity on regional routes decreased by 22.7%, and passenger traffic recorded a decrease of 37.9%, as compared to last month. The overall passenger load factor was 60.4%, representing a decrease of 7.2 percentage points as compared to last month. The passenger load factor for domestic routes decreased by 7.0 percentage points and for international routes decreased by 4.3 percentage points as compared to last month, and the passenger load factor for regional routes decreased by 10.8 percentage points month on month.
In terms of cargo operations, cargo capacity (measured by available freight tonne kilometers (the "AFTK")) decreased by 20.1% month on month. Cargo and mail traffic (measured by revenue freight tonne kilometers (the "RFTK")) decreased by 10.0% as compared to last month. The cargo load factor was 41.8%, representing a year-on-year increase of 6.6 percentage points.
In January 2021, the Group introduced 5 A320NEO aircraft. As at the end of January 2021, the Group operated a fleet of 712 aircraft, including 293 self-owned aircraft, 214 aircraft under finance lease and 205 aircraft under operating lease.
