Airbus has announced that Keflavik-based Icelandair has taken delivery of its first Airbus A321LR, marking the start of its fleet renewal.

Leased from SMBC Aviation Capital, the aircraft is part of an order that also includes 13 A321XLRs.

Configured for 187 passengers (22 in business class and 165 in economy class), the aircraft offers "enhanced comfort thanks to the Airspace cabin and modern equipment such as XL storage and advanced connectivity", as the aircraft manufacturer points out.
