SAN DIEGO (AP) _ Airgain Inc. (AIRG) on Tuesday reported a loss of $3.1 million in its third quarter.

The San Diego-based company said it had a loss of 30 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for stock option expense and amortization costs, were 11 cents per share.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 5 cents per share.

The antenna products developer posted revenue of $15.5 million in the period, which also fell short of Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $15.9 million.

For the current quarter ending in December, Airgain expects its per-share earnings to be 22 cents.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $13.5 million to $14.5 million for the fiscal fourth quarter.

Airgain shares have decreased 38% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $11.04, a decrease of 14% in the last 12 months.
