AISIN Group's greenhouse gas emission reduction targets acquire SBTi certification

The greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets for Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, which have been set by the AISIN Group, have been recognized as science-based targets for reducing GHG emissions that align with the Paris Agreement, and have been certified by the international initiative SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) *1.

Setting "To the future, a sustainable environment" as one of the values it offers to society and stakeholders, the AISIN Group will contribute to promoting the recycling of energy in local communities and widespread use of CO2 emissions reduction technologies through activities aimed at achieving carbon neutrality.

A reduction of 46.2%

Scope 3 (Categories 1 and 11)

A reduction of 27.5%

An international initiative jointly established by four organizations in 2015: CDP, United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI), and World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF)
*2 Our company designates the fiscal year as follows.
FY2031: From April 1, 2030 to March 31, 2031; FY2020: From April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020

Scope 1: Direct GHG emissions by the reporting company itself (fuel combustion, industrial processes)
Scope 2: Indirect GHG emissions associated with the use of electricity, heat, and steam supplied by others
Scope 3 (Category 1): Indirect GHG emissions related to purchased products and services
Scope 3 (Category 11): Indirect GHG emissions from the use of sold products
